Bluegrass fans and newcomers stomped their feet to the tunes of Benny Kimsey's Bluegrass Picnic Saturday, March 10, at the Turtle Beach pavilion. This is the second picnic since Kimsey brought the popular concert back last fall. Attendees enjoyed food and music by the Skeeterland Bluegrass Band, Sycamore Shade, Siesta Key Boys and the Tonga Street Bluegrass Band.

At the March 10 New College of Florida Board of Trustees Meeting, it was announced that Donal O'Shea was selected by the Presidential Search Committee to become the new President. Upon the confirmation by the Florida Board of Governors, he will become the fifth President of New College.

Circle association members, the Longboat Key, Lido Key, St. Armands Key Chamber of Commerce and some trusty customers were in attendance, and snacked on appetizers and drinks. Chase Bank will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
