Town commissioners approved a four-month extension of the grandfathered tourism units at the shuttered resort Dec. 11, making the latest tourism extension deadline April 30.

Country Club Shores sells for $760,000

A home in Country Club Shores tops all transactions in this week's real estate. Geza and Ilona Benko, of Longboat Key, sold their home at 531 Chipping Lane to Victor and Anamaria Mitchell, of Castle Rock, Colo., for $760,000. Built in 1967, it has two bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 2,341 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $350,000 in 1995.
