Siesta Key home sells for $1.8 million

Brent Cooper, trustee, of Rockville, Md., sold the home at 99 Beach Road to Christy Ramsey, of Bristol, Ind., for $1.8 million. Built in 1940, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 1,742 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1.65 million in 2009.

River Club resident Shari Medley will participate in the Scenic Shore 150 Bike Tour July 23-24, in Wisconsin, to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Medley will ride in honor of 10-year-old East County resident Joey Baar, who has been battling leukemia since April 2008.
