MacAllisters Grill & Tavern hosted the fourth annual Scottish St. Andrew's Festival Nov. 10 at Lakewood Ranch Main Street. This year's free event, which featured face painting, balloon artists, a rock wall, beer and wine samples, pictures with Santa and live music from the Jacobites Pipe & Drum Band and the Billy Rice band, benefited the Wobbly Feet Foundation, an organization that raises awareness and support for Ataxia-telangiectasia (A-T), a rare and progressive neurological disease.

The Community Haven for Adults and Children with Disabilities held its annual Haven Hoedown on Nov. 9. Country singer Adrian Ray performed songs off his self-titled album. A free event, the Haven Hoedown featured barbeque food, a pretzel stand, a hayride, an auction and a raffle. Vendors sold baked goods and crafts. Proceeds of the event benefited Community Haven.
