Towering horses return to Sarasota

Sporting blankets to keep them warm, the iconic Budweiser Clydesdales clip-clopped through town last week, making a total of five appearances in Bradenton, Venice, Lakewood Ranch, Siesta Key and Sarasota. Public invited to explore Selby

Marie Selby Botanical Gardens is inviting everyone to visit the gardens for free from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30. Explore the garden conservatory, koi pond, mangrove walk, banyan cove and outdoor butterfly garden - plus a tea tasting inside the Carriage House. Special activities will be offered for children in the Kid's Corner. 'Thanks to a generous grant from the Linnie E. Dalbeck Memorial Foundation Trust, we are very excited to be able to share this beautiful place with the public,' said Selby Gardens CEO Tom Buchter.
