PHOTO GALLERY & VIDEO: Moving Ethos Flash Mob on Siesta Key Beach

Moving Ethos dancers and community members performed a flash mob dance, Friday, June 29, out on Siesta Key Public Beach. The group planned to perform on Lido Beach on Saturday and back on Siesta Key Beach on Sunday at 7 pm. The group performed to an orchestral version of Kings of Leon's 'Use Somebody' and 'Clair de Lune'.

There were boats that caught 10-fish each, some with all bites and no catch and there was even a fisherman's tale of 100-pound fish at The Friendliest Catch catch-and-release fishing outing on June 29. The fun event for the physically and mentally challenged hosted by the Sarasota Outboard Club is part of the Suncoast Super Boat Grand Prix.

More than 100 East County boys and girls hit the court for Braden River and Lakewood Ranch High's basketball camps June 25-29. Participants learned basic basketball fundamentals, including dribbling, shooting and rebounding, among others, while participating in scrimmages, competitions and contests.

Participants enjoyed exploring all aspects of the performing arts, including drama, dance, voice and art, during the two-week camp, which ran June 18-29.
