Towles Court gets new gallery on the block

When Kathleen Power Johnson noticed the for-sale sign on what was formerly the Katherine Butler Gallery, in Towles Court, she felt a sudden urge to purchase the quaint building and offer Sarasota artists a supportive venue for their work by turning it into a non-traditional co-op. At the time, she was retired.

Film Review: 'The Trip'

I can't recall having seen a film that made me giggle for nearly two hours. Michael Winterbottom's "The Trip" managed to do so with such sophisticated wit and downright silliness, I had a difficult time wiping the smile off my face long after leaving the theater.
