Members of the Women's Golf Association celebrated the end of the season with a morning scramble and luncheon on April 28 at the Longboat Key Club, enjoying fair weather on the fairway.

Reflecting on the season, the club celebrated having only two event cancellations all year.

"And that was because we had 30-mile-an-hour winds, and 28-degree windchill," member Mary Taylor said. "I know none of us really wanted to be out there in that."

Association leaders also commended players for keeping delays to a minimum, making for some excellent afternoons on the green.

Members also applauded Director of Golf Terry O'Hara and his team for helping the morning run smoothly so players could get out playing as quickly as possible.
