The Town Green will be abuzz the first Saturday of March for the Community Open House.

The town-organized event will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at the Town Center Green (600 Bay Isles Road). Set up on the green will be more than 30 local organizations, businesses and town departments to meet and greet, answer questions and help spread the word about what makes Longboat Key unique.

“It’s a community event with local businesses and organizations coming together to showcase their organizations,” said Town Manager Executive Assistant Savannah Cobb. “We will also have a bounce house for kids, and we’ll have all the town departments represented.”

On-site will be two food trucks, Georgia Girl Soul Food selling barbecue and Bello Bean Coffee Co. serving coffee drinks, a bounce house, and live music performed by Tim McCaig.
