Who doesn’t like a leisurely meal?
The operators of 55 restaurants in and around Sarasota couldn’t agree more, and they have an even better way for diners to take their time in June. While the timeframe for the 21st annual Savor Sarasota event has come to a close, those restauranteurs will keep offering Savor’s $25 two-course lunches and $45 three-course (some even four-course) dinners along with wine pairings and signature cocktails going through the end of the month.
"Savor Sarasota is one of my favorite times of the year, and honestly, I am never quite ready for it to end," said Erin Duggan, President and CEO of Visit Sarasota County. “Our chefs poured their hearts into these menus, and our community showed up in a big way. The fact that fifty-five restaurants are keeping their menus going through our Continuing Savor list says it all. Every additional reservation is an investment in our local restaurants and makes our culinary community that much stronger."
Originally started by the predecessor to the tourist group Visit Sarasota in 2005 to drum up business after the snowbirds leave, Savor Sarasota has become a much-anticipated event. It’s right up there with the Forks & Corks Festival at The Ringling Courtyard, scheduled for Jan. 21-25, 2027.
Savor Sarasota is an excuse to get out of your culinary comfort zone and try a new restaurant or to take a budget-oriented trip to one of your pricier favorites. It’s also a way to show support for local businesses.
