A round of tennis is as important for reconnecting with friends as it is for honing one's swing.
Members of The Sanctuary at Longboat Key Club Community Association reconnected at a recent tennis social at the condominium's on-site court.
As part of its seasonal activity offerings, the association invited Racquet Sports Professionals Association-certified tennis pro Claudiu Retean to lead a lesson on Feb. 15.
Retean is a head tennis professional with SunCourt Sports and has more than 20 years of experience in the tennis and sports industry. He was also the longtime head tennis professional at the Longboat Key Public Tennis Center and was a leader at The Colony Beach and Tennis Resort.
The group of about 20 joined in several warm-ups, including King of the Court, before engaging in a few friendly matchups.
