New jeweler takes the helm on St. Armands Circle

Previously known as Jewelry by Cole, the new St. Armands Jewelers is offering a blend of classic and trending styles.

When it comes to jewelry, Mia Eylon believes helping customers find the perfect piece is more important than being beholden to any hard-and-fast rules, like not mixing metals.

Her main goal is to help visitors find that perfect fit, whether a local couple is celebrating an anniversary or someone visiting St. Armands for the first time is searching for something special as a reminder of their trip.

"Hopefully, they also remember the attention you give them as they find what they're looking for and the experience they had here in the shop," she said.

She recently took over ownership of St. Armands Jewelers, replacing Jewelry by Cole at 7 N. Boulevard of the Presidents.

By offering pieces with a variety of metals and stones, St. Armands Jewelers hopes to help patrons find the perfect something special.

If there's one thing she wants customers to know, it's that the name on the door may have changed, but the high standards for service and quality jewelry remain the same.

Eylon and her family bring their experience in clothing retail to the role. While she enjoyed working in fashion in the Philadelphia area, changing markets prompted her to explore something new.

"My husband started working in the jewelry business with someone else, and he picked it up right away," she said.

She surveyed multiple locations in the area before finding the right fit.

Jeweler Gary Goss, owner Mia Eylon and manager Diane DelloRusso are the team bringing a sparkle to the circle at the new St. Armands Jewelers.

"We were strolling by and saw the sign in the window put up only two days before," she said. "We walked in, and the rest is history."

The staff has worked to update every aspect of the business, from the boutique's character to the collections featured.

Patrons have plenty to explore at the new shop, including custom work and repair services. She said they also plan to expand their estate jewelry buying and selling.

"We want to have a little something for everyone," Eylon said.

Longtime shoppers of Jewelry by Cole can look forward to seeing some familiar faces behind the counter, including manager Diane DelloRusso and jeweler Gary Goss, who has 59 years of experience in the field.

St. Armands Jewelers endeavors to offer something for everyone with its selection of fine jewelry, including plenty of ocean-inspired pieces.

"We have a solid team, that's for sure," she said, also sharing her excitement for the future of the shop.

The location has a legacy of more than 50 years serving the St. Armands community, and she looks forward to carrying on the tradition.

She invites community members to join the team for a grand opening celebration planned for early November. Specific details will be announced later.
