From Marie Antoinette-themed wigs to fashionable masquerade masks, supporters of Equality Florida flocked to the nonprofit's Suncoast Celebration on Oct. 14 at the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium.Â
Themed "Let Them Eat Cake: A Royal Masquerade Ball," the event celebrated the LGBTQ+ community and its advocacy efforts this year while enjoying hors d'oeuvres, a silent auction and a message from Equality Florida's Safe & Healthy Schools Director Ian Siljestrom. The organization also recognized Rob, Jessica and Grayson Powers for their contributions to the cause.Â
Equality Florida is the largest civil rights organization dedicated to securing equality for Florida's LGBTQ+ community.
