Photo by Lori SaxThe Lee Wetherington Boys & Girls Club was transformed into a beautiful event space Nov. 18 as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties welcomed more than 350 guests for its 10th annual Champions for Children Gala.
This year’s event, presented by the Annette J. Hagens Memorial Foundation, honored Jaime and Julie DiDomenico. Jaime DiDomenico is a longtime board member of the organization, and as the owners of Cool Today, the DiDomenicos have helped launch partnerships, create corporate engagement events and supported the rebuild of the Gene Matthews Boys & Girls Club after Hurricane Ian.
All funds raised from the evening will go to support programming at the clubs, which help ensure kids have a plan for their future while learning skills to be good citizens and live a healthy lifestyle.
