Sarasota Orchestra held its annual brunch Nov. 12 at Michael's On East.

About 240 guests began mingling in the atrium at 10:30 a.m., followed by an offering of a variety of breakfast and lunch items.

Co-chairs of this year's event were Gene and Kathy Jongsma, Rick Miners and Jeri Sedlar.

WIth serving and carving stations placed around the perimeter, guests filled their plates and then headed into the ballroom to hear music provided by Sarasota Youth Orchestra musicians and the John Miller Jazz Ensemble.

Aside from the music, patrons enjoyed the illustrations and notes students with the Sarasota Youth Orchestra drew on the paper tablecloths covering each table. Proceeds from the event benefit Sarasota Orchestra education programs.
