The Pura Vida cafe, which has built a reputation for being a wellness and lifestyle brand, will open a 2,000-square-foot cafe in the UTC West District in the first quarter of 2024.

The Miami-based business began in 2012, founded by co-owners Omer and Jennifer Horey.

The menu, which offers all-day breakfast, is known for its local and organic ingredients. Menu items include avocado toasts, pasture-raised egg sandwiches, fresh bagels, salads and raw organic acai bowls. Wraps, sandwiches and bowls feature a variety of bases and proteins and the cafe also offers an array of gluten-free and vegan sweet treats.

The restaurant also features cold-pressed juices and wellness shots, superfood smoothies, kombucha, and artisanal coffees and teas.

Other new businesses coming to UTC include Naked Farmer, Foxtail Coffee Co., The Breakfast Company, J.Crew Factory, REI Co-op, Drybar and the Blu Kouzina Greek restaurant.

Pura Vida has 15 locations, but the UTC location will be the first in Sarasota.
