A new takeout concept has entered the Sarasota market.
DalMoros Fresh Pasta To Go opened its third franchise in St. Armands Circle on Nov. 23. The fast-casual concept originated in Venic, Italy, in 2012 by founder Gabriele Dal Moro.
The 1,000-square-foot restaurant features outdoor sidewalk seating and a mural by local artists Vitale Brothers. The DalMoros signature pasta machine is displayed prominently in the window so onlookers can watch it while it's making pastas that are served with fresh sauces in to-go boxes.
“After the opening and success of our St. Petersburg location last year, we feel very excited and ready to take on this new challenge,” DalMoros Franchisee David Caruso says in a press release. “St. Armands Circle is one of the most beautiful and friendly places in all of Florida, attracting people from all over the world.
"It has incredible foot traffic, which works great for our brand as people walking by will be able to see the fresh pasta being made in the window each and every day. Also, because all of our meals are served in to-go style containers, our guests can either continue their walk around the circle or enjoy them at one of our tables.”
The company’s franchise team also recently opened a location at Armature Works food hall in Tampa with two more locations expected to open soon. The West Palm Beach location is expected to open later this year and a location in Delray Beach has an expected opening in early 2023.
“By early 2023, we aim to have five DalMoros locations open throughout Florida, which is a huge expansion in under two years that we are very proud of,” says Caruso.
The Sarasota location is being headed by Manager Chandler Caruso. Currently, there are DalMoros locations in Italy and Canada with future international expansions planned for Singapore, Barcelona and Mexico.
