Sarasota High 5 Moments: 10.12.17

1 — Riverview High senior swimmer Brett Riley won four gold medals at the Tri-County Championships Oct. 7 at the Selby Aquatic Center, including individual golds in the boys 200-yard IM (1:58.87) and 100 backstroke (53.45).

2 — Riverview High sophomore swimmer Emma Weyant also won four gold medals at the Tri-County Championships, including individual golds in the girls 200-yard IM (2:07.85) and 500 freestyle (4:57.04).

3 — Former Booker High running back Marlon Mack, a rookie on the Indianapolis Colts, gained 91 rushing yards and scored a touchdown in the Colts’ 26-23 win against San Francisco Oct. 8.

4 — The Riverview High volleyball team won the Gene Gorman Invitational at Charlotte High Oct. 7, defeating the host school in two sets (25-18, 25-14) in the championship game.

5 — Cardinal Mooney High junior volleyball player Kali Plattner had 10 kills, 12 digs and two aces in the Cougars’ three-set win (25-19, 25-17, 25-14) against the Academy of the Holy Names Oct. 4.
