NAACP honors local leaders

The Sarasota branch of the NAACP held the annual Freedom Awards Banquet at the Hyatt Regency, Sarasota on Oct. 5.

The Sarasota chapter of the NAACP gathered at the Hyatt Regency, Sarasota on Oct. 5 to honor community leaders and advocates. 

Among award recipients were Youth Artists Network founder Maureik Robison, The Newtown Nation founder Valerie Buchand and Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Renee Snyder.
