Operation Kindness dines for veterans

Through Cafe L'Europe's Community Night, 20% of check proceeds will go to Operation Kindness.

Cafe L’Europe might be known for its European cuisine, but the restaurant got a little American makeover on Oct. 3.

Supporters of Operation Kindness Florida walked into a room full of tables adorned with red, white and blue decorations and banners on Tuesday evening. Even the guests themselves wore their patriotic colors, whether it was a simple red shirt or an American flag themed purse.

More than 50 people gathered to support the non-profit organization that aims to raise funds for service men and women who have sustained emotional and physical injuries. Twenty percent of the evening’s proceeds will benefit Operation Kindness.

“I love that so many community members want to support our veterans,” Operation Kindness Florida President Joanne Forch said.

This was the third year the organization has been a part of Cafe L’Europe’s Community Night efforts.
