Thunder sweeps Mustangs

The ODA boys and girls tennis teams both beat Lakewood Ranch March 17.

The Out-of-Door Academy boys and girls tennis teams both posted victories versus Lakewood Ranch March. 17. 

The Thunder boys won 7-0 while the Thunder girls won 5-0 against a Mustangs lineup that was missing several players due to illness and injury. 

On the boys side, Josh Samuel (No. 1), Jake Krug (No. 2), Connor Krug (No. 3), Matt Jones (No. 4) and Juan Garcia (No. 5) all posted singles victories for ODA. Samuel and Jones also posted an 8-3 victory versus Anthony Pistella and Philip Pugh in No. 1 doubles while Jake Krug and Connor Krug defeated Balwant Singh and Garrett Kelly 8-0 in No. 2 doubles. 

The ODA girls earned singles victories from M’Balia Bangoura (No. 1), Sydney Sforzo (No. 2), Madison Reese (No. 3) and Paula Clark (No. 4). Lakewood defaulted its No. 5 singles match and no doubles matches were played.
