Tiger Bay discusses the impact of economic incentives

Guests gathered for a stirring discussion on economic incentives and corporate welfare hosted by the Tiger Bay Club Thursday at Michael's On East. 

A panel featuring Economic Development Corporation of Sarasota County President and CEO Mark Huey with Phillip Porter, a professor economics at the University of South Florida and Observer Media Group Editor and CEO Matt Walsh. Tiger Bay Club board President Susan Nilon moderated the discussion that touched on incentives to businesses including cash grants, property tax abatement and state tax credits.
