Red and white stripes were all the rage Wednesday morning at Goldie Feldman Academy for the celebration of the birthday of children's author Theodor Seuss Geisel known as Dr. Seuss.Â
The event was also in recognition of National Read Across America Day, also known as Dr. Seuss Day. Students went along with theme donning their very own white and red hats. Some classrooms even made green eggs for the occasion.Â
The Grandparents Club organized the event that allowed grandparents and family friends to spend the morning reading Dr. Seuss books to students. Grandparents Rita Mazer, Sue Rosen and Wendy Katz went as far as to dress up as the characters Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 and Thing 2 as they bounced from classroom to classroom.Â
