In honor of Tu B’Shvat Temple Emanu-El welcomed families at the Sarasota Children’s Garden for the monthly Tot Shabbat.
Tu B’Shvat is a Jewish holiday occurring on the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Shvat. It serves as a new year for trees and a time to appreciation nature.
Families spent the morning among the trees and playgrounds hidden in the garden. They gathered for songs and prayer led by Rabbi Brenner Glickman. The program concluded with the children singing “Happy Birthday” to the trees and enjoying cake.
Temple Emanu-El hosts monthly Tot Shabbat programs aimed at incorporating its youngest members and their families.
