From pink balls and club socks to visors and shoe laces, the dominant color on the Lakewood Ranch golf course Tuesday, Jan. 26, was pink.
The Women's Golf Association of the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club held a fundraising tournament — Think Pink — to raise money for the Suncoast Chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer awareness.
Approximately 210 club members participated, which raised more than $40,000 for the foundation.
"This is the association's only charity event," said Chairwoman Lisa Deutsch. "As cases of breast cancer increase, this event has more meaning than ever."
