FEB. 10

AGENCY ASSIST

11:50 p.m. — 500 block of Ranger Lane

Assist Other Agency: Police assisted a Sarasota County Sheriff’s deputy in serving a temporary injunction for protection relating to a domestic violence case that involves a man on the Key.

 

FEB. 11

KEEP IT DOWN

11:53 p.m. — 400 block of GMD

Disturbance: A woman complained about loud noise coming from another condo unit. The man in the unit next door was watching television alone, and the volume was low. Police told him about the noise compliant, and he promised to keep quiet.

 

FEB. 12

DERMATOLOGIST DISPUTE

10:29 a.m. — 500 block of St. Judes Drive

Fraud: A woman told police she got a $58 charge from a dermatologist she has never seen. She was provided with a fraud case report.

 

STOLEN FUNDS REPORTED

11:35 a.m. — 500 block of Ranger Lane

Fraud: A man told police that while he was in jail for domestic battery three days ago, his wife took $4,559.44 from a bank account that belonged to him and his mother. He said his wife is not an account holder of the account.

 

TREE TROUBLE

4:47 p.m. — 3000 block of GMD

Property Damage: A man told police that sometime between Feb. 1 and Feb. 12, someone cut down four Sea Grape trees on his property without permission on the north side of his property line. The neighbor told police strong winds from a storm blew the trees down on her property, and she called a tree removal service.

 

WALLET MISHAP

10:14 p.m. — 5400 block of GMD

Lost Property: A man told police the last time he saw his wallet, he placed it on the top of his rental car. He was advised to cancel his credit cards.

VEHICLE MISHAP

8:21 a.m. — 5600 block of GMD

Abandoned Vehicle: A man called to report an abandoned vehicle. Police verified the vehicle is owned by an employee of the business and it has permission to be there.

 

FEB. 14

UNWANTED FOLLOWING

6:03 p.m. — 400 block of L’Ambiance Drive

Suspicious Circumstance: A man reported that people were following him on St. Armands Circle. He said three different men asked him for directions near a coffee shop, and one of them asked him where he lived. He was concerned they were following him. No further action was taken.
