Some of Sarasota’s most generous gathered at Sarasota Yacht Club Dec. 1 to be honored for their support of the Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation and the Corinthian Society Celebration. The Corinthian Society is made up of individuals who give a cumulative gift of $5,000 or more to SMHF in one fiscal year, and 43 new members were inducted into the society for their gifts during 2016.
Five groups were also awarded their own lab coats and stethoscopes for making or pledging cumulative gifts of $50,000 or more, making them members of the Doctors of Philanthropy. Marcia Jean Taub was also inducted into the Legacy Society, meaning she committed to a gift to SMHF via a will, trust agreement, prepaid life insurance policy, etc.
