Sarasota candidates revel in primary election wins
Supporters celebrated with candidates for Sarasota County School Board and Sarasota County Commission primaries.

Candidates for the Sarasota County School Board and the GOP candidacy for the Sarasota County Commission waited patiently with supporters as the polls reported votes during the 2016 primary election.

An excited Teresa Mast reported that she had won 2,000 votes as precincts began to report the results of the District 2 School Board seat. Mast hosted supporters at the Geckos Grill on Cattleman.

Teresa Mast offered friends and family a tearful "thank you" for their support throughout her campaign. "We'll get 'em next time," Mast said.
