Crackdown on DUIs

The Florida Highway Patrol announced it will conduct a DUI Wolfpack detail on Saturday night in Manatee and Sarasota counties.

The concentration will last from 9 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Sunday.

According to a release, the FHP sets up such details to "proactively remove impaired drivers from the roadways and ultimately enhance the safety of the motoring public."

Troopers will be mobile, monitoring traffic in an effort to maximize visibility and effectiveness.
