Designing Women Boutique and Selah Freedom organized a terrific event Wednesday, Oct. 14, at New College Harry Sudakoff Center by bringing Elizabeth Smart to Sarasota.

After a welcome to the packed house by New College's Steve Miles, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, and DWB Executive Director Susan Jackewicz, SPD-Chief Bernadette diPino introduced the charismatic keynote speaker to the stage. Elizabeth then proceeded to mesmerize the audience with her story of how she was abducted at the age of 14. A touching and very emotional talk, followed by a Q&A with Kristine Nickel and address by Selah Freedom's Elizabeth Fisher.
