For the inaugural Osprey Nokomis Chamber of Commerce Business Expo, President Rod Thomas is pleased with the turnout.
Local businesses had the opportunity to showcase what they have to offer at the Bentley's Boutique Hotel in Osprey Saturday, March 28. The expo also offered workshops and featured speakers like Chef John Moeller, who once served as the White House Chef. One workshop in particular that Thomas said guests were excited for focused on social media and was presented by Ken Countess.
“They love the workshops, the feedback I’ve got, especially Ken Countess on social media,” Thomas said. “There are a lot of people interested in social media, with him doing a free talk on social media is brilliant for the local businesses.”
Thomas expects to host the event annually and is pleased at the opportunities it could bring to Osprey businesses.
“It’s the first of hopefully many and it’s been well attended by vendors,” Thomas said. “No one ever stops in Osprey on the way to Venice or Sarasota, so we’re trying to make them stop.”
