The 4-foot, 11-inch tall, blonde vocal powerhouse of Broadway will stop by the Sarasota Bay in 2016.

Kristin Chenowith, known for her accomplished turns onstage in "Wicked," "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown," "Promises, Promises," and her current run as Lily Garland in the celebrated revival of "On the Twentieth Century," will bring her dynamic voice and charm to the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on February 27, 2016. Tickets range in price between $30 and $120 and will go on sale this Friday, June 5.

Chenowith's one-woman show will be a revue of her career featuring popular songs from her stage career as well as selection from her guest appearances on the hit high school musical comedy "Glee" along with some of her favorite pop standards and Hollywood classics.

The stage and television actress has earned considerable awards this Broadway season in "On the Twentieth Century" including winning Drama Desk Award and Outer Critics Circle Award for outstanding actress in a musical. Chenowith is nominated in the same category for this year's Tony Awards, which, incidentally, she is co-hosting with another Tony Award-winning Broadway and film veteran Alan Cumming.

The addition of Chenowith to next season's lineup is another boon to the Van Wezel's already impressive Broadway and musical lineup. The season includes touring productions of award-winning fare such as "The Book of Mormon," "Beauty and the Beast," "The Producers," "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," "Bullets Over Broadway," "Million Dollar Quartet" and "Mamma Mia!" among others.
