More than 30 campers divvied into red, blue, yellow and purple teams participated in a range of activities during Dream Oaks Camp's Clash of the Colors-themed day, July 30, at the East County facility. Attendees tie dyed bandanas, with the help of camp volunteers, played a foamy and messier version of Twister, and lapped the playground throughout the daylong camp. July 27 through July 31, the camp opened to children ages 7 through 17 who have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or other high function special needs. Each week through August, the summer camps cater to individuals with different needs. The nonprofit organization, which Foundation for Dreams, Inc. operates, also offers year-round residential and day sessions and camps for children with varying ability levels.
