Al Fuller's Blues Jam — takes place at 9 p.m. at the Five O'Clock Club. Free.

Sarasota blues man Al Fuller and his band start out the night with some original tunes and then host an open-stage blues jam featuring many local musicians.

Bring your instruments and join in. 


 TUESDAY, JAN. 20

Tuesday Night Dodgeball — takes place at 8 p.m. at 7850 Cooper Creek Blvd. Free.

Get some exercise in a unique way with this regular Tuesday-night pick-up game of dodgeball.

Re-live your high school glory days (or nightmares) with this classic American game. 


WEDNESDAY, JAN. 21

+ Downton Abby Dinner — takes place at 6:30 p.m. at Phillippi Estate Mansion. $90.

TASTE Dining and Travel hosts this second annual Downtown Abbey dinner, featuring an English-style four-course dinner from chef Paul Mattison, accompanied by wines from Transatlantic. Dress is formal and period dress. Reservations required. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Phillippi Estate.


THURSDAY, JAN. 22

+ iConcept — takes place at 6:30 p.m. at Sarasota Municipal Auditorium. $150 for dinner and show or $50 for dessert and show.

Art meets fashion at this seventh annual fashion show, featuring hosts Christine Alexander and Joey Panek. Fashion show consists of outfits constructed from nontraditional materials. Funds will benefit Art Center Sarasota’s youth education programs.


FRIDAY, JAN. 23

+ Music in the Park  — takes place at 6 p.m. at the Bradenton Riverwalk Mosaic Amphitheater. Free.

This spring, come to the Riverwalk Mosaic Amphitheater for a free outdoor concert series to support local musicians and enjoy the view.

Bring a chair or blanket to sit on. Drinks will be available for purchase by Darwin Brewing Co. Snacks for purchase by Peacecorn Popcorn. This first installment features music by Lady and Gentleman, Jen and Ray and Lesa Silvermore, with spoken-word intermissions by Cedric Hameed.


SATURDAY, JAN. 24

+ Motorworks One Year Anniversary — takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. at Motorworks Brewing Company. Free.

Celebrate Motorworks' one-year anniversary with Bradenton rock band, Whiskey Blind. Enjoy a special-release brew, called Birthday Beer.

Dance and enjoy free corn hole, bocce ball and food trucks onsite.


SUNDAY, JAN. 26

+ Forks and Corks Grand Tasting — takes place at noon at The Ringling.

Guests lucky enough to snag a ticket will enjoy fabulous food from more than 50 of the area's top restaurants, taste wine from more than 100 international wineries and enjoy micro-brews and craft beers. This year, new Originals member restaurants are serving their specialties alongside well-known local favorites. The popular silent auction will return with special wines donated by participating wineries, and guests can purchase bottles of the wines they tasted that day.
