MONDAY, APRIL 13

Pies and Pints — takes place from 8 to 10 p.m. at Shamrock Pub. $20.

Enjoy this new pizza and beer series from Polpo Pizza Co. and Shamrock Pub, in which local chefs collaborate with Polpo to create signature pizzas, which will be paired with bottomless pints of craft beer.

Chef Steve Phelps of Indigenous is tonight's guest chef. Admission includes three different pizza servings and bottomless pints until 10 p.m.


TUESDAY, APRIL 14

Our Betters — takes place at 8 p.m. at Asolo Repertory Theatre. $29 to $71.

TriForce Pictures Film Festival Soirée — takes place at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, at Darwin’s on 4th. Free.

There’s no party like a free party, and the TriForce crew does its part to bring the L.A. soirée vibe to Sarasota.

THURSDAY, APRIL 16

Not-Quite-Friday 5k — takes place at 6 p.m. at JDub's Brewing Co. Free.

JDub's Brewing Co. invites local runners and beer lovers to this weekly 5k run around Ed Smith Stadium and neighboring communities.

Runners will receive 10% off all beer after the run, free water and towels at the finish line as well as a punch card for free prizes after runs 10, 25 and 50.


FRIDAY, APRIL 17

Cinema Tropicale — takes place at 9 p.m. Friday, April 17, at Michael’s On East. $150 ($120 for members) $300 for VIP ($240 for members). Carribean cocktail attire. 

Normally held at the Sarasota Yacht Club, this popular event has a new home this year at Michael’s On East. Sip cocktails and enjoy food from Michael’s On East while models strut the runway to music by DJ Mondo, Gypsy Band Coq Au vin, Funktastic Soul and Stolen Fruit.


SATURDAY, APRIL 18

1137 Unwrap Party — takes place at 11:37 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at the Starlite Room, 1001 Cocoanut Ave. $45. Hollywood chic attire.

You never know who you’ll run into at this annual closing-night party, where guests, producers, directors and actors all mingle to celebrate another successful year.

Known for its surprise guests, this party offers limited tickets, which include limited free cocktails, as well as cash bar and appetizer options.


SUNDAY, APRIL 19

Shamrock Neighborhood Circus — takes place from 2 to 10 p.m. at Shamrock Pub. Free.

This second-annual event will celebrate Lagunitas Brewing Company’s super-limited releas
