Friday, Sept. 19

  • International Talk Like A Pirate Day — takes place at 8 p.m. at Mr. Beery's. Come in, order a Piraat beer, get an eye patch, tattoo and bandana, plus a chance to win a $300 bottle of Piraat with each purchase. Free.

Saturday, Sept. 20

  • Finchtoberfest — takes place from 2 to 6 p.m. at Darwin Brewing Company. At this first annual celebration, annual Finchtoberfest celebration, Brewmaster Jorge Rosabal, trained and educated in Germany, will be releasing Finchtoberfest Marzen-style lager - a medium-bodied amber lager. Darwin Brewing Company Oktoberfest steins will be available for $20, which will include a free first fill, plus $8 refills through Oct. 5.
    Free food will be catered by Darwin's on 4th.
  • Rough Route Screen Printing Party — takes place at 5 p.m. at Clothesline Tees, 2250 Second Street. Celebrate the launch of the new street wear brand, Rough Route with a screen-printing party. Bring any clothing item to be screen printed for a donation of $1 +, or purchase a live-printed tee for $5. Music by GODSNACK and haircuts by Fresko Fadez. Free. BYOB.
  • Bubba Sparxxx — takes place at 9 p.m. at Cabana Inn. Catch Bubba Sparxxx live in concert with special guests, Soopa Groop. $20 at the door.

Sunday, Sept. 21

  • Food Truck Sunday — takes place at 4 p.m. at Mr. Beery's. Enjoy food from a rotating lineup of food trucks, then stick around for bar bingo. Free.
  • The Barbaric Yawp — takes place at 9 p.m. at Growler's Pub. This weekly forum for speech, poetry, spoken word, political rants, artistic slide show presentations, acapella music numbers — anything you can do with your voice, body or a microphone continues this week with special guest, Kerry Rock. Featured performers have a 30-minute time slot, and guests can sign up for 10-minute slots afterward. Free.
