Businesses say 'thank you' with sweet treats

Two East County businesses appealed to customers’ sweet teeth on the eve of Thanksgiving.

To show appreciation to loyal customers, Premier Sotheby’s International Realty on Lakewood Ranch Main Street and Michael Saunders & Co. on Lakewood Ranch Boulevard offered complimentary desserts throughout the afternoon Nov. 26.

Both companies used email blasts to notify individuals about the free sweet treats.

The Main Street Realtor offered original-style cheesecakes from The Cheesecake Factory, and its neighbor, Michael Saunders, gave away 300 pumpkin, apple and cherry pies to customers from Yoder’s Restaurant & Amish Village.

Michael Saunders & Co. has given away the pies for three years, while Premier Sotheby's just started the gesture this year.

"We're so thankful for our customers and we wanted to show them that they're a reason we're thankful this Thanksgiving," Soda said.
