Sarasota gears up for Super Boat Grand Prix

It's that time of year again — before you know it, Main Street will shut down, and instead of cars, it will be filled with dozens of super boats and hundreds of spectators for the annual Suncoast Super Boat Grand Prix. The official races don't kick off until Sunday, July 6, but one of the best things about the event is the sheer number of supporting events that surround the race — charity events, golf tournaments, meet-and-greets — there's something for everyone.

The action starts this weekend with the Aqua Plumbing and Air Grand Prix Golf Classic and Lakewood Ranch car show. So, get in the Grand Prix spirit and prepare for the upcoming race. Click here for a full schedule of events.
