More changes are coming to the Heritage Harbour community.

Along with the Nov. 4 election results that shook things up on the Community Development District board, such as the ousting of Joe Jaudon and George Mosinskis replacing Lee Bettes, more board restructuring is continuing this week.

After former Chairwoman Joyce Sandy resigned from her position at the Nov. 12 CDD meeting, the seat is open and will be filled at the board's CDD meeting at 4 p.m. Dec. 2.

Sandy resigned to focus on her family and move forward with other things. But, she's proud of the work the supervisors accomplished under her leadership, such as having shorter, more effective meetings, Sandy said.

Michelle Patterson still currently sits as the board's vice chairwoman and isn't opposed to taking on the facilitator role of becoming the board's new chairwoman.

"We'll see what happens, but I would be against it (becoming the chairwoman)," Patterson said.
