Hazardous weather conditions in effect in Sarasota

Several advisories, including coastal flooding, high surf, rip current and flood watch are in effect until Thursday or Friday according to the National Weather Service.

A coastal flooding advisory is in effect through Friday evening. High seas might produce minor flooding along low-lying coastal areas during times of high tide.

A high surf advisory and rip current advisory are also in effect through Friday evening. Five to seven foot waves with large breaking surf and deadly rip currents may arise. 

A flood watch is in effect through Thursday evening. Three to five incehs are likely with higher amounts possible.
