Thanks to a two-to-one matching opportunity up to $10,000 pledged by an anonymous donor, the Ninth Annual Women Helping Women Luncheon raised $49,000 to benefit the Samaritan Counseling Services of the Gulf Coast.

During the luncheon, which was held at Michael’s on East, Samaritan supporters pledged $29,000, plus $20,000 in matching funds for a total of $49,000.

“We’re honored to be able to facilitate the matching gift,” said Roxie Jerde, president and CEO of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. “Our vision is making donor dreams a reality. Through this anonymous gift, others were inspired to give hope and transform lives in our community, making this donors’ dream a reality.”
