Manatee County officials are gearing up for Tropical Storm Debby.

Officials today attended an "information only" briefing in the county's Emergency Operations Center to discuss the status of the storm and potential community needs in the days to come.

The EOC remains in Level 3 monitoring status and government offices remain open.

The Manatee and Cortez bridges are open for vehicles, but closed to large boat traffic. The Sunshine Skyway Bridge also remains closed.

Officials are asking residents to monitor weather conditions and prepare to use their family disaster plan, if
needed. Currently, no evacuations are recommended.
