Let’s Create Art and Pinchers Crab Shack both recently opened their doors on Lakewood Ranch Main Street.
Instructors at Let’s Create Art began teaching classes June 11, offering professional instruction that is customized for all skill levels, from beginner to advanced in both adult- and young-artist programs.

“Anyone can paint,” Brazilian-born artist Clark Prosperi said. “People think it’s very difficult, but once you take the intimidation factor out of painting — make it fun and relaxing — then my students are always surprised at what they can achieve in a very short time period. By establishing a fun, relaxing school that offers professional, high-level art instruction, our goal is to teach many, many people to do just that — learn to paint beautiful art and enjoy the pleasure and rewards that come from painting.”

Prosperi also creates his own custom commission paintings, including pet portraits, all in oil on canvas.
Let’s Create Art also offers Paint N Party art parties Tuesday and Friday evenings, which include appetizers and all art supplies.

Pinchers Crab Shack May 22 moved from its Clark Road, Sarasota location to Lakewood Ranch.

The family-owned 6,500-square-foot restaurant features an indoor/outdoor bar with a large open patio area. The company has been operating in Southwest Florida for 15 years and is known for serving fresh seafood in a casual and tropical atmosphere.
