Webster University helps area homeless

Staff and students at Webster University's Sarasota campus recently donated supplies and time to a local organization helping homeless individuals.

Staff, students and alumni earlier this month donated 50 pairs of socks to the Community Coalition on Homelessness before visiting the organization to help sort and organize donations.

The event was part of the Webster Works Worldwide program, which the school sponsors annually. As part of the program, a campus-wide community service day is completed in conjunction with local agencies and non-profit organizations.
