Sarasota home sales dip slightly

The Sarasota real-estate market did not maintain the torrid pace in April that it had set in March.

The 800 property sales in March were a six-year high. Last month, sales dipped 5% to 759, which was on par with April 2010.

“We are glad to see the continuing strength in the market in 2011," said Michael Bruno, Sarasota Association of Realtors president.

Last month saw 533 single-family home sales and 226 condo sales.

The median home price was $155,430, and the median condo price was $185,500.
