WEEKEND BEST BET: Ponies for Pups

Festivities for Ponies for Pups, to benefit Honor Animal Rescue, will begin at 11:30 a.m., March 26, at Sarasota Polo Club, 8201 Polo Club Lane, Lakewood Ranch.

The event will feature a pooch parade, tailgating contest and, of course, the polo match at 1 p.m. Dogs and cats will be available for adoption.

Cost for pavilion seating is $30 per person and includes a catered lunch by The Polo Grill and Bar. Field-side tailgating is $10 per person.
