Temple Emanu-El recently named East County resident Dorothy Kirsner as one of three recipient’s of the temple’s 2010-2011 Volunteer of the Year award.

The honorees were feted at Temple Emanu-El’s First Annual Installation and Awards Dinner on July 1.

“Dorothy is one of the best among us,” Temple Emanu-El Rabbi Brenner J. Glickman stated as he presented Kirsner with her award. “When we need help, we call — and she always says, ‘yes.’”
