LAKEWOOD RANCH — Ed’s Tavern, MacAllisters Grill & Tavern, Little Bookworms and The Fish Hole have partnered to make Easter a little egg-stra special on Lakewood Ranch Main Street this year.
The businesses will offer Main Street's first egg hunt beginning at 11 a.m., April 23. Hunts will be divided into separate areas by age — 0-3, 4-7 and 8-9. Families are responsible for bringing their own Easter egg baskets.
Among thousands of Easter eggs, organizing merchants will hide four golden eggs, which each contain gift certificates or other deals to Main Street businesses.
Other festivities include a Kids Chalk Festival, arts and crafts, Bounce U, spoon egg races, face painting, visits from the Easter bunny and more.
“Main Street is all about bringing the family together,” MacAllisters co-owners Karen Ronney said. “What better place to have an egg hunt, eat (and enjoy the day)?
“It’s also a thank you to our customers,” she said.
