Calling all pizza-holics

Rico’s Pizzeria and Pasta House is looking for a few good eaters.

The Sarasota pizzeria will host its first pizza-eating contest April 23 at the restaurant, 1902 Bay Road, Sarasota.

The person who downs the most pizza slices in five minutes will receive $1,000; the second-place winner will receive $500; and the third-place winner gets $250.

All proceeds will benefit the Sarasota Firefighters Benevolent Fund.
