When did you start swimming?
I started swimming when I was 8 years old. I was at practice watching my brother swim, so I decided to do it myself.
How often do you swim?
Monday through Saturday — about nine practices a week.
What is the best advice you’ve received?
Never give up during in a race. You’re gonna reach certain points during a race and you gotta decide right there if you’re gonna step over that point or back off. Just don’t hesitate when you’re racing.
What are you doing after high school?
I’m attending the University of Florida on a swimming scholarship, so I’m excited for that.
